QUEER TALK // SNIFFING FLOWERS
Wednesday 6 December, 8pm // The Music Works GL1 1RP // Pay what you choose

SUPPORTIVE AUDIENCE WANTED!
Come and hear stories of queer experience in Gloucester, collected and shared by local young LGBTQIA+ people.

Show your support to the young people involved in the sharing – and stick around at the end for drinks and chat.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Low key, living room, chill vibes, cool, safe
  • Sharing/WIP style
  • 40 minute (ish) sharing, 10/15 minute Q&A after
  • We’ll have drinks after (non-alcoholic), so people can hang about for 20/30 mins or so after to chat

THE BACKSTORY
For the past 8 weeks, a small group of aspiring storytellers alongside Kristine Landon-Smith & Associates have been meeting up and learning how to make brilliant audio interviews.

Together, they’ve collected LGBTQIA+ stories from across Gloucester – and been learning the art of listening, capturing, recording, editing, producing and sharing compelling candid conversations.

WHERE AND WHEN
Join us at The Hub, the gig space at The Music Works, on Kings Square in the middle of Gloucester on Wednesday 6th December from 8pm.

ACCESS AND ETHOS

  • We’re committed to making this a safe space
  • The project has been led and created by LGBTQIA+ people
  • There’s accessible parking available at Kings Walk
  • We don’t want cost to be a barrier to anyone – so all our events are pay-what-you-choose. You are more than welcome to come for free.
