Inventive Cheltenham theatre play goes on tour of Gloucestershire libraries

TwoCan Theatre Company have been working in the Everyman Studio Theatre this week rehearsing their adaptation of ‘Two Can Toucan’ by David McKee, the author of Elmer the Elephant), which is going out to Gloucestershire libraries from today.

As a company who aspires to make theatre that is fully accessible, it has tried to integrate British Sign Language and audio description into the performance without dividing this from the action.


Nicola Miles-Wildin (a professional disabled radio and stage performer, best known for her role as Miranda in the Paralympics Opening Ceremony in 2012) has directed the piece, Jon Kidd has been the composer /performer, Megan Brooks sign support/performer and Chloe Phillips AD/performer.

TwoCan is an inclusive theatre company and produces work that is available to tour Gloucestershire schools and performance venues.
