Prinknash Abbey
Prinknash Abbey is a monastic community of men, who live in the spirit of the Rule of Saint Benedict, in the heart of the Cotswolds.
Prinknash Abbey is home to a Monastic Community in the village of Cranham in Gloucestershire.
The lives of the Monks are inspired by the Rule of St Benedict written 1,500 years ago and we have been living the contemplative Benedictine life of prayer, work and study in Prinknash since 1928.
All guests who present themselves are to be welcomed as Christ, for he himself will say: I was a stranger and you welcomed me (Rule of St Benedict 53:1).
We welcome visitors to the Prinknash Estate on designated footpaths, the Walled Garden, the Monastery Shop and Café and our Chapel is open for quiet prayer.
