Catalytic converters have been stolen from two vehicles parked outside properties in Stone.
A witness spotted three men wearing balaclavas at the scene.
They got into a small dark blue car around 10pm on Friday and made off at speed.
PCSO Mike Trebble said in a neighbourhood alert that police had no further information at this time.
